Not when there is a 10k difference in price between the SS and GS. Loyal but not stupid.

Ford should just drop the Coyote in NA as it already is available in a 300KW state

of tune and instead of investing any money into modding the engine just put the money into body

weight reduction mods to lose some of the lard.

And instead of having the V8 only available in the XR8 have it across the range like it used to be.

There are still people that would like a base model V8 or a G8/G8E etc......

I agree with some, dont see much point for the XR8 now that there is te GS. As to the price the XR8 Was alleasy about 3 or 4 grand more than the XR6T (correct me if I am misslead).

When I had my last XR6T mates would talk down to me and say its a pitty its not a V8 etc, but everything I have ever read has questioned why the XR8 was there, as the 6T was better all round, except for the exhaust noise!

So the fix is this: In about a year, the GT and GS models will be given a power up to 350 and 330 respectively. This leaves a big enough hole to squeeze in an NA xr8 at 310kw. The F6's power will also increase to 320, allowing the xr6/g6e to come up to 290 or so.

There will be a big party, Ford will trumpet that the mighty xr8 is back with power increases across the range and everyone will buy one who can't afford a GS and want a v8 rumble.

The GS already puts out 256rwkw on a dyno. That has to be over 300kw @ the crank. More like about 310. Bring on the n/a and 7,000 rpm for the XR8.
