My bad. In fact, all magazines and reviewers need to talk to Tab before publishing anything on the G6's handling prowness. It seems they've been getting it wrong over an over! What fools! I heard Lotus was actually in talks with Ford about obtaining the rights to run the g6 suspension in their next Elise. And McLaren have pulled in the engineer's that worked on the G6's suspension for advice in their F1 cars. In all seriousness, both are great cars, it really comes down to whether you are actually going to drive the car (using both feet) or whether you are going to dribble on and on about which button does what and where, and how amazing the fake leather seats feel, and how much room there is in the boot for your bowls set and cardigan collection. If you do buy the G6ET, make sure you tick the "pillow and tissues on the back parcel shelf" option. You have to look the part. Enjoyed it...a lot!my thoughts:Positives:power was good! Especially uphills.gearbox was pretty good, most times would kickdown pretty quickly.the suspension (18 in wheels) was not too firm. Seemed just right. Slight roll, but nice on the 'swishback'. Was nice to be able to control oversteer on the throttle to give that nice floaty feeling to the rear Windnoise was quite low, with just a gentle hiss from the door edge/mirrorPremium audio was good. Loved the Ipod integration and the MP3 title display!Bluetooth was easy to set up. Is it meant to be able to show the phone number on screen? (didn't have the manual in the car)AC performance: wasn't able to check due to cool weather but controls were easy to use and the display was niceNegatives:Some road noise on some road surfaces, but nothing dramatic.Driver's seat literally gave me a backache, even with careful setup and using the lumbar adjustment to the max. Felt it was a bit soft, and the lateral support was also rather soft. Some of the finer fitment and operation was a little rough, but nothing major (eg ext mirror movements, glovebox dropping, strange glovebox light pattern)Rear seat headrests are not high enough for anyone over 5ft 8Didn't like the blue rings around the dials (personal preference)Visibility - A pillar was slightly too thick and came into my field of view quite often, especially in carparking areas.Overall I felt the car wasn't 'hardcore' as some people have said. It's actually much more user friendly than a Golf GTI for example (let alone a WRX!). But that's not a criticism! Also it was nice that the car felt smaller than it actually is, when driving. That's a sign of good body/suspension/throttle response design. So how different is the handling/roll on the G6ET compared to an XR6T? I can't get a G6ET to try out... I prefer White Ox myself. The fastest 1/4 time I have found is 12.67 Stock standard G6ET, pretty good !How did you time yourself 0-100 doing it in 4.8 ?Ling Long tires as well, I went to school with Penny Long and her brother Dong Long, hey, are those tires any good in the wet?
