SHOW ME ANYWHERE THE G6ET IS NICER THAN THIS ? only way I can see a G6ET being nicer is when you compare a 50th anny g6et to a stock fg xr6t which isnt really apples for apples is it ? The fact that they've released all the extras as a limited edition for the XR6T just highlights the fact that it is normally bland and needs a bit of spicing up. So you've just dis-proved your own argument. ...oh and there is something wrong in that picture. Three pedals is so 1970's. Get with the times and let go of your insecurities. I LIKE THE THREE PEDALS...STOPS ME GETTING FAT ! you are right though about the comparison, it's not a fair comparison until the 50th xr6t is in it then there really is no comparison ! I do agree that the 50th T is pretty special though, get rid of the bookshelf off the boot and it almost wouldn't look out of place in the bowls club carpark. Nice!2. chrome around the centre controls. I thought all G6Es had piano black finish, or is that only the Turbo versions?3. footwell lamp only seemed to be on driver's side.p.s. how on earth can I get the instrument lighting to come on? I switched on the engine and then the headlights, but the instrument panel was still un-lit!cheersS

They normally are definitely piano-black fascias.Mine has lighting in the passenger side footwell and the dash lighting works off a sensor on the FGs, even if you turn the headlights on manually the dash only illuminates if it's dark enough (or you cover the sun-load sensor at the front of the dash).Just hurry up and get one! I think G6ET was only one with piano black before all these dam-fangled special editions started coming out.3. its there, just clips in facing up? I unclipped mine now it hangs down an shines bright.ps runs on a separate light sensor.

You can get them about 10k cheaper as a demo. Then with that extra money you save...Built motorCoolerExhaustbuilt gearboxbig turbotuneetc...I got XR6t, I turfed the old intercooler, exhaust, airbox, injectors, valve springs, upgraded the turbo & will soon be getting the zf rebuilt. It kind of leaves me wondering why we spend the extra money when I've gotten rid of most things which the T has over the NA anyway. Lots of people buy an XR6 then chuck an atomic motor in it & virtually denude the engine bay of anything stock. Seems pointless to spend the extra $$ in the first place.Next car I get will be a good condition body NA 6 with no scratches/dents & a motor that's pretty much rooted. Get it for a song & then put all the go fast bits in it. EDIT: Tab, the only reason I'd want memory buttons on the seat is if I let someone else drive it. & that's not gonna happen Edited 21/10/10 03:04 AM by Turbo6FG

Hoping to borrow an Xr6T this weekend (couldn't get an ET). Need to try a few things out like parallel parking! While you're trying it just pretend the passenger side mirror automatically tilts down to show you the curb when you select reverse...just like the G-Spec would.
