Thanks guys

Is the white instrument lighting on the G6ET throughout the dash, including the AC/ Audio controls, or just on the instruments?

On a separate note, I've always been a bit puzzled about the dual centre cabin lights. Are they meant to be rear seat reading lights?

Surprising they didn't do a glovebox dampener, guess it doesn't bother most people!

:)

cheers

All white, including the ICC controls.

There are four cabin/reading lights that can all be turned on and off separately, or all together using the button on the ICC and with door-open unless you turn that off. When using the button on the dash if you hold it down they'll gradually increase in brightness until you release the button then it'll remember that setting - they call it a child friendly night light feature or some crap?

There's also two more lights above the sun-visors for checking your makeup, lights in the footwells, under the A/C vent in the rear and on the doors. They have certainly got it well illuminated for us poor old blind bastards. :beerchug:

Personally I'm a fan of the open diff so don't see it as a detriment, it's allot more precise and predictable then the LSD that seems to love a bit of tailslide...which although is exhilarating is not the best for suburban street corners and roundabouts.

The most pathetic justification for the open over the LSD. Secretly Tab is wishing he had the LSD, but roundabouts might prove a problem eh tab? :spoton:

Get the G6ET. Then go buy an EVO for thrills.

In all seriousness, I'd happily drive a g6et and enjoy it, but after a while the giant chrome grin and soft headlights would make me feel like my father and therefore I would end up hating it.

The LSD would seriously be missed no matter how many ways I tried to justify it.

Now, an F6E would be perfect imo.

I chose the G6E T because I like a car with all the options boxes ticked and I like the more luxurious feel of the car. If you are looking for a more sporty looking car, then you might consider the XR6T. Truth is, with fixed speed camera, red light cameras doubling as speed cameras, portable hidden cameras etc, you really cannot drive at 9/10's frequently enough to use the full handling potential of XR6T so the G6E T will do the job 95% of the time whilst giving a more comfortable feel 100% of the time. Biased... nah :surrenderwave:

I have an Edge G6E T 50th Anniversary Edition and the difference in the colour is that Ego looks like a metallic dark grey, the Edge in the sunlight looks like a metallic dark blue/grey though out of the light, the dark blue comes through more. I get a lot of positive comments about the colour and the way the wheels look great, particularly with that colour. You can see pics of my car shot in sunlight in the thread started by me in the G6E Turbo page on this site.

You will love whichever car you choose and I dont think you could go wrong with either. :icon_ford:
