camdawgs Member 49 Member For: 13y 13d Posted 02/04/12 01:54 PM Share Posted 02/04/12 01:54 PM ive got the same problems in my BF F6. I also have major issues with whenever I give it the boot the box/rear of the car makes a loud thumping noise, thumping back into gear. Also get the same noise when going from full throttle and then quickly shutting it off...Its not THAT annoying...for me its more the issue of...what kind of damage is this doing? My last car was manual, and it was f*cking terrible. Clunky as all hell, replaced diff, cv joints, tailshaft, diff bushes, everything I could think of. That's the reason I was looking at getting an auto, if they're just as bad might as well get a Holden.Go take a manual FG for a spin. I love the tr6060.Also don't get any of the problems above cause I have a ute. Edited 03/04/12 12:15 AM by Paulie2256

Cost a ridiculous amount of money just to keep it on the road last time. I do really like the ZF, I've never had an auto before and I like it, just don't want to get one and be going through continous problems.

How many people have broken their ZF's and how many people have broken their T56/T6060's?That'd be fair wouldn't it?

Can't say I've actually heard of any ZF autos "falling to bits" as claimed unless it's as a result of a ridiculous amount of power, but even then it's usually a fairly simple fix that is certainly not unexpected.
