What is neglected to be written is that that capacity is for the v8 transmission and that the I6 transmission requires 4.85L.I wasn't aware of this until recently and confirmed the difference in capacity in the workshop manual.For those that have access to one it is written on page 308-03a-17.Why there is a difference is beyond me, but I had only been running 4L in mine since I replaced my oil with Penrite SIN ATF.Today I added an extra 850mL to the transmission and it made the driving experience even better.There is now no rollover noise whatsoever, and the slight 1st to 2nd notchiness is all but gone.Why Ford can't get it right the first time is beyond me....
