Only thing I dislike about it is how it wonders all over the road, even after 2 wheel alignments. Also when its hot, power drops off quite a bit and did I mention how the doors vibrate when the "premium" sound is pumping? I am not complaining, but there are some niggles...Its interesting how most of the power in these things is low in the rev range which makes it very usuable. If you want big top end from one of these G6ET, replacing the turbo is the next step. Getting more low and mid range is much easier. I will be doing some towing in the next few weeks which I am looking forward to. In the past, all my tow vehicles have all been gutless. Not any more!!When I see my cars reflection while driving, I am still very impressed with what I see. That tells me that I made the right choice in vehicle. Hope you have as well.Regards, Tony

Was it just wheel alignment or something more sinister? And when you say it feels down on power when hot, does the power seem to come back as the car loses its underbonnet heat build up, or is the power loss pretty much permanent on hot days?I'm very keen on the G6ET, also in Seduce, or possibly Ego/Edge, but reading about things like this worry me

It has improved it a bit but ultimately I think its me being picky. I wouldnt really say its a problem as my wifes G6 does the same thing. The loss of power is a turbo thing, not a G6ET thing. I notice that when the temp gets up to 28 + degress the power is a bit less. All turbos are affected by hot weather. Dont get me wrong, there is still plenty there to play with.I personally think any of the colours you mentioned look awesome. Starting to see a few G6ET with edge now but seduce are still few and far between. Over all, these issues are nothing to the satisfaction my vehicle gives me. Have you test driven any yet? I would be happy to discuss any concerns with you.Regards, Tony

The missus Camry drives straighter down the road. Will get alignment looked at.
Tony L Member 80 Member For: 14y 5m 9d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 18/11/10 08:30 AM Author Share Posted 18/11/10 08:30 AM Just bought a FPV instrument cluster for My G6ET. I am concerned that I am not aware what my oil temp is at any time and oil temp is VERY important with turbo cars, especially when you put the boot in. The FPV cluster has oil temp and boost guage as well as all the other stuff on it. It cost me $375 plus $170 to get it installed by Ford.

I guess that could be done to a stock XR6T as well? The main reason I haven't considered an Xr6 (even with luxury pack) is the blue circles around the dials !anyway...had a second test drive of a G6ET (in fact, the same car I drove 2 weeks ago).Happy with the comfort, but the wind noise seemed higher than I last remembered...starting to lean towards the Seduce colour...though it can look a little pink at times, but it does stand out!
