Im sorry im 21 and dont just have 5k to turn around 1 day and be like hmm ill spend it all on car mods.

I actually own my car, I have no loans no debt, nothing. So im pretty happy only just turning 21 and having an 07 xr6 turbo. And not my parents did not help / pay for the car.

I can afford to maintain the car but I dont earn 5k a week soo mods arnt something I can just do over night.

Just remember evo mods arent exactly cheap either. Some might be but go chasing decent power and it will be worse than the XR, never mind the cost of tracking it.

I'm looking at doing a similar thing in the next few months to what your doing now. I havent got the 7k I want to do everything in 1 hit but a tune, cat and injectors should do the job for a while. But just remember the falcon is a comfortable crusier with some grunt, if you're looking for a track weapon that will cut awesome times and be a bastard to live with daily this isnt it. That said I had a great time with mine at wakefield park even though its stock.

Yeah.

Getting parts for my drift pig was so cheap lol. You can get 2nd hand cooler kits for like $300.

Full exhaust from turbo back is like $300.

There is SOOOO many aftermarket parts out there for them sh*t is just so cheap.

I reckon you learn more doing the power mods gradually too. doing research on go fast bits, asking around, reading up various opinions etc.

Yeah that's it !

The only thing I hate about modding these cars is everything requires a tune !!!!!

You could put everything in the 180 bar injectors and the ecu would adjust.

I had 14psi. t28 off a s15.

cooler. full exhaust. and it made 190rwkw without tune

I agree it's annoying having an ECU with such a stranglehold on everything! Ford aren't into making it easy to mod them that's for sure :)

ive got another car with an aftermarket ECU. Once you've had to stuff around with them and spend a lot on getting it to do stuff like cold start half as well as factory ECU's can you'll appreciate it and the tune isnt as big of a deal. Just plan better instead of whacking on something extra here or there.

You'll miss it and want another one. I sold my BA at the start of last year, put simply nothing keeps pulling like one in a straight line. I have never been in a car for the price which pulls as hard above 200kmph as an XR6 Turbo. I am currently waiting for FGs to hit a decent price and it will replace my current ride as a daily and will make a great tow car to take my Caldina to the track. In saying that, the Turbo would not get anywhere near my Caldina off the line or on a twisty road I love it to bits.

I reckon I wouldn't of missed it that much had my dad not got an FG Turbo ute, if my BA was as good as it I wouldn't of considered selling it.
