at the end of the day you bought a used car, someone else has already owned it, treated it and possibly neglected it as they see fit.

atleast the falcons are easy to pull apart :stirthepot:

Everything I've ever owned has creaked and squeaked besides my last 2 new motorbikes, I've learnt to just ignore it, turn the volume up A bit :)

Has it been in for a tickle yet? Chuck a few go fast bits on it and see how it is then....

Would never get a wrx. And would not get a skyline. Wont get an SS they are sh*t. Options are limited !

Why not? Yeah the imports have better build quality but they are also more expensive to get power out of.

What do you want, quality or quantity (of speed).

trust me and everyone else on here, you will learn to live with such minor problems, if that's all my car did I will be over the moon. each time I take of I hear a thud, clunk, ting, bing and what else happens underthere. just spend the grand and get it fixed if you want, but it will come back, they always do. but in the end my car still goin strong.

Feel your pain scottay, the build quality of these cars is now shyte

I would have to say I am a Ford man, the majority of cars I have owned in the last 15 years have been Fords, my father worked there for 28 years.

Sadly, I don’t think I will ever buy a newer ford falcon, I would struggle to buy any other ford really. Between such poor quality build, parts and the terrible terrible service you get not only from Dealers but also Ford customer service as well.

Issues I have had with my fully serviced 50,000km XR6 turbo replaced under warranty plus some other goodies

• Power steering pump replaced

• Window auto stopped working

• Replaced belt pulley due to rooted bearing making loud noises

• Dash lights and headlights fail when switched on

• Front rotors need to be machined and had aftermarket brakes put on due to bad break shudder under braking

• Every time it got hot in the car, silver inserts on handles on back doors fell off. GRRRRR

• Dash creaks

And the wife’s falcon BF2 is no better. Here is a list of warranty issues I had to get resolved on a car with 58,00kms and a full service history.

o Rubber Mould new L/H mirror not fitted correctly

o Power steering pump leaking – replaced

o Oil leak front engine area – turned out to be a seal on timing cover.

o Movement in front suspension L/H lower ball joint movement

o Exhaust resonator split at rear

o Starting, when turned over engine has trouble starting or starts and then dies

o Radio – when on FM turn on rear demister radio crackles, looses signal is unusable

o Interior - Silver inserts on door handle/arm bubbling on left and right front door.

o Hand brake re adjusting twice!

3 months for ford to resolve the above, inc just under 3 months to get in a new rear windscreen and for no reason for Ford rejecting the claim TIWCE to fix oil leaks. All fixed in the end, I started recording phone calls with Ford, dealers etc as proof if they didn’t cough up.

Sorry for the long email and rant but I am bitterly disappointed in the experience of owning a modern Ford and as a die hard ford fan, would not buy a ford again.

I wouldnt buy a wrx because the gearboxes are anus in them. And not a big fan of the motors. I want power but at the same time I want power without all the other bad sh*t that comes with it lol.

Well if you're looking at EVOs you shouldn't be looking at WRXs, you should be looking at STis. And there aint nothing wrong with an STi box :censored:

well its going back again. Got 3 months warrenty from the caryard faggots. For example if I hold 2nd gear at like 2500. then plant it to say 4500 and back off ill get a small thud. Sounds like some bushes are gone somewhere. They said they fixed the dif bushes last time but I dont care im sooo over it . FIX MY FKN CAR!!

Brand new car 40k on the clock and it does this sh*t.

180 - 21 years old clutch dumped / kicked with a full brass button clutch and handbrake being pulled up at like 140 and it never had a knock in the rear end.

gg ford

Id expect some rear end clunking from a manual if it had been abused. But from an auto cmonnnn

:buttonit: they bring 180s into the country 2 keep people like u out of fords. good bye :stirthepot:
