Well done Memphis, mine was purchased in October and I have today just ticked over 5,000km's.

I know what you are saying re the pricing, I could not get much off mine either... they simply wouldn't budge much on the 50th Anniversary Edition. My car is also a tax write off so I ended up going for the 50th anniversary model rather than going for the discounted regular model. I have copped a bit of flack for that, but I don't mind, each to their own I reckon.

There are guys that organise drives in the respective states, you just need to look at the "cruises and events" tab at the top and look for a current thread on an upcoming drive in your area.

Enjoy your wheels Memphis and welcome to the site.

My brother has been looking at buying one as well and the best price in Sydney for G6ET 50th ann edition is 53.5k which is what I paid for my Edge coloured one in October.

$43,220 for a 50th Anniversary model... is this a typo, has it done 20,000km or is it damaged?

Payed $52,000 in May 2010 for 0km, White, Pedders Lowered, Tint, Mats and DVD.

Traded an 18 month old Calais V with 32,000km's and they gave me $4,000 more for it than any other dealer.

So, put it all together, sensational looking and performing car and an excellent trade in.

Considering I don't pay for the car, haven't had to pay for petrol for the last 22 years, tolls etc, who cares if you pay a little more for the car.

I still sit there a look at the beast and think WOW, can't wait till it hits 3 years, then I own it outright, warranty concerns are over and I can start some mod's.

Off the topic, who would you recomend in Melbourne to speak to about mod's when the time is right?

At 50, I'm not after a rocket, just looking to put a smile on the face.

Cheers,

EWT

EWT if you have a read around the forums it is worth the drive. Mick has had customers come down from Queensland for his level of service!

Thanx TRA1NR.

Sounds like good advise.

I'll be giving them a call when the time is right.

By the way, your whitee looks sensational.

Giving me plenty of inspiration.

What rwkw's?
