Dorko, of course you could still deduct the car either way, but the fact is that the difference net of tax goes from 10k to just over 5k, which over 5 years is approximately 20 per week in repayments, less than a couple of packs of smokes, and I don't smoke. furthermore, as I can deduct the depreciation, the car will cost me approximately 34k from my net cash flow so the additional sticker price doesn't bother me. I could bang on about why anybody would pay 43k from their net cash flow when I will only pay 34k but Its clear it's because they can afford to pay for what they want and clearly I can afford to pay extra for the model colour and 0km's that I want.

I am very interested to hear if anybody has purchased a new G6E Turbo Anniversary edition and what they paid because then I would know what the going price is.

I worked out its about $2100 difference a year in net cash. Yes you are right that its about $40 a week extra or two packs of cigs a week.

However over 5 years that's a little over $10k net cash.

Doesn't matter which way you throw the figures its still $10k more net cash.

Anyway as you said you got the colour and 0kms, but in my opinion a colour isn't worth the difference in net cash.

Keeping with the original thread, I am also interested in what others are paying for a 50th edition.

Sorry Dorko but I dont get how you calculate the net of tax cost being the same as the gross figure.....

By reducing my gross salary by 10k over 5yrs, it is 2k per annum gross however the tax deduction means that it actually costs me $1150 per annum net (approx 5.5k in total, not 10k) or just over $20 per week. The cost will be long forgotten when I look in the driveway and continue to see the vehicle that I want.. no compromise.

Is it an expensive paint job? yes, but it also comes with the wheels, sat nav and different seats so they help a little too (if you like these extra's which I do but that's another matter of preference). Anyways, on with the thread around what ppl paid. :cleanhouse:

Hi all

could you URGENTLY please let me know the very lowest drive-away prices you've paid for a new/demo G6E Turbo?

And also whether you got 19inch wheels, tinting, etc?

If in NSW, could you please include name of dealer.

Looks like I'll be heading toward purchase within a week!

Colour? Can't decide between Ego/ Edge or Seduce (wish it was slightly less pinkish) or maybe Steel Blue!! :)

many thanks

Satz

I picked up my 50th Ann G6ET in August for $54,250 drive away, not that much of the RRP pricing; but as this is a novated lease to lower my tax I didn't do too much price haggling. I got mine in the EGO color just before EDGE came out, but am really happy with the color!!

As of today I racked up 10k in this car since august and it has been perfect; couldn't of asked for a more fantastic beast!!

I purchased mine from Freeway Ford in Cranbourne, Victoria. I didn't add any options to the car as it pretty much has everything; I did get them to through in a Ford Racing Jacket!!

Is there any sort of drive club for the G6ET (50th or not) I don't see many on the road, plenty of G6's etc.
