Battery Relocation In A Ute

I put mine on the left side. Ran the cables through the plastic tub and along the fuel lines to the the chassis and starter motor. I left the standard cables connected to a distro block where the standard battery used to sit.

Works fine.

What happens if you run over somthing that breaks the fuel line and the battey cable??

That's why I run mine on opposite sides of the car

We did it with the cables running through the cab which I would not do again due to feed back into the sound system, seperated all the cables for the system to one side and the battery the other, so go outside the cab, just run them along the chasse rail.

Just use 0 gauge cable and come off the original points in the engine bay run it up into the tray using a couple of crommets to encase the cables and grab a battery box, material costs were about $170 and takes about 4 hours.

Hi guys, I'm in pretty much the same boat. I am about to fit a plazmaman induction, tossing up on whether to relocate to passenger side, behind seat, behind body kit, or to tub... has anyone got a opinion on whats worked out best for them??

I fitted mine in a box in the tray on the right side. Cut off the battery terminals and put lugs on the cables. Bought a red and black insulated studs from the local auto lecky and fitted them where the cables would reach them. Ran the positive lead as 50mm welding flex through the chassis rail (if you would call it that) up then up through the tray. Ran the ground from the battery straight to the closest metallic part with an existing bolt under the tray.

I think I had a write up in my thread in the engine section ..... I'll do some digging

Anyone tried mounting one under the tub to one side. When I put my exhaust on I noticed alot of space for a battery setup there and would leave the tub clear.

Mount an isolator switch in engine bay or somewhere easily accessable and you would be laughing.
