I think the GT will outrun the F6 in straight line accelation. It makes more power and more torque and weighs less then the last GT.The problem will be getting it off the line clean.Guess we will have to wait and see. :roflmbo:

Good point on the GS numbers VS the F6 numbers Winstor, it will indeed be interesting!

Keen to see a Ford V8 up there next to the performance of the now venerable I6T :) Love the sound of an 8, now we need the modern day performance to match!

Ever since I got this ballistic missile of a car, I wanted to see what all that money bought, and if it'd be worth dragging off every bogan in a Late model camira that pulls up next to me! So I did some reading around, and saw that on paper the F6310 will do about a 13.5 second quarter mile (according to Wheels Magazine anyway) so I headed on down to Kwinana Motorplex on Whoop Ass Wednesday to see how she would fair. A mate of mine has a 5th anniversary GT so he took his down as well, to see ho that would do down the quarter! lets see shall we...

I was thinking anywhere in the 13 second range would be good, so I was pleasantly surprised with what she ran first up! and let it be known that it was completely stock, no modifications whatsoever! I even left the twin sub box in the boot! I was in such a hurry after work I didn't have time to pull it out! so now at least I have a baseline for what she can do, so its time to start saving for mods!!!:beerchug:

When did you go? My wife took her new FG F6 to the Motorplex Wednesday just gone at ran 12.90, 12.99 and 12.91 @ 112-113 mph. Stock as a rock automatic with 1400kms on the clock. No stalling up, just planted her foot when the lights went green hence the 2.35-2.40 60ft times. For a factory car they're bloody quick.

I was there 15th september 2010!

I did see another silver FG F6, maybe that was her? didn't see what the runs were though! but yes, I agree with you, with all that stereo stuff I had in the boot, it was still a bloody quick car for stock standard! but after christmas, I'm gonna do a few small mods, probably a package from simon at XFT, so that'll be my next visit there with the car! I'm planning on taking the bike there sometime soon, just to see what an R6 can do!

why did u put music on the vid? its sh*t, its wat dickhead americans do.

those are 2 of my fav songs! the first was Bodies by Drowning Pool. I've always wanted to use it in a video ever since the first time I heard it. and the timing between when the song actually starts (FLOORRRR!) and the burnouts begin, is just perfect, even if I do say so myself!! :violent085:

the second is Too close to see by Strung Out, its been one of my favorite songs for years! but everyone is entitled to their opinion, if you don't like it, just don't watch it, its that simple!:nyaah:

your post sounds like you are a dickhead trollavatar6357_1.gif

that video looks how I felt lasty Saturday morning.

Yeah YOZ-F6, these cars are unbelieveable aren't they. Had mine dynoed the other day at RDP(Brisbane) and going by what Lee the owner said the 310 badge at the back roughly means it equates to 310 hp at the rear wheels, but mine made 384 hp at the rears (standard), and have heard that same scenario alot with these things, bang for your buck is through the roof.

Cheers Gus.

For sure! you get a hell of a lot of bang for your buck! some people I talk to say that FPV deliberately released it as 310kw as opposed the 315kw that the GT makes, because some old school fans just wouldn't be able to handle the fact that there's a faster car than their precious GT's on paper, even though the F6 decimates them on the quarter! but we all know that the F6 is a much faster car, compared to the GT, in its stock form!

I'm still yet to have mine dyno-ed but am very interested to see the results!

can you post your graph on here? I'd love to see it!
