Hey fellas..

I was driving home this morning when I could here A kind of whizzing sound.

When I got home I pulled the intake pipes off to find the rubber joiner that joins the turbo to the standard crossover piping had sh1t itself and split nearly in 2.

Im taking punt and saying that apart of the rubber had gone through the blades and slightly bent 1 of the blades.

The blade is only slightly bent. Its a shame I didnt think of taking a pic today b4 I went to work but I will upload 1 tomorrow.

As I said the blade is only slightly bent about 0.5 - 1mm out but enough to cause the whizzing sound. I believe I could probly starighten the blade with the correct tools but obviously it wouldnt be as true as it was.

Has anyone ever tried to straighten a blade and been succesful?? I totally understand that I could be at risk but I'm am weighing up my options dont drive my car for the time it takes me to save up or have a go..

Thanks in advance for any help avail. I will post a piccy tomorrow.

If you do try to straighten it, it might make it worse.

Anything spinning at 30,000rpm will require more than an eye straighten.

It could cost you a totally stuffed turbo if you try, get it done properly.

Would a piece of rubber really make one of the blades bend though? Sounds abit weird to me

Spinning at 50000rpm and you throw something into it.... yes it would bend LOL

The rubber is probably sitting in the cooler piping or cooler now. Might wanna have alook because that's something you dont want going into your motor
