drove my ute to a bbq last night and was was talkin friend, her brother died in a car accident a few year back and she was sayin how she wont get in a car with some one if they are gunna be stupid, has not prob getin out and walking if someone is gunna misbehave hehind the wheel. I said you are one of 2 people I know who are like that. since I have had ute tuned I reckon nearly everyone I know (bar a handful) has said "it made how much, nice, you will have to come take me for a drive, show me how it goes" obviously they all get told no and then I get a blank look and "why". I was wonderin if anyone else get the same thing. I dont think people realise how fast and dangerous a street car with 500rwkw is.

Does 500rwkw get any traction under 100kms?

Mid 300s is dangerous enough.

Nope, and that is part of the point, I think people want to feel acceleration and you have to be in loose your license territory before you feel any. people do not realise that.

That's probably why they want to go for a drive. Ild love to know how a 500rwkw T goes, what it pulls like with traction etc, but then all responsibility is basically on the driver to keep the occupants safe, even though everyones grown ups and getting in out of there own choice, if it goes wrong it's going to be the drivers fault end of story.

I used to have a 460+rwhp s14 and people were always asking for drives and I just flat out refused, that wheelspin comin onto boost at 4300rpm in every gear except 5th, which is what I imagine your ute is like. My ba sedan was much safer, full car from 60+ wiuld always get traction, plus I never really sped in it.

Begs the question how much power is too much? I'm always thinking of more power but will it make my car any faster? I think my car was faster 0-100 with 300rwkw. Now it's much faster up top but you gotta be very careful down low.

at least its not like if I had of had this when I was 18 I would have got the "can I have a drive" not "can I have a ride". and I agree with benny. I would say 500rwkw is too fast, if you are bein an idiot. if you drive around town like I do at 55km getin overtakin buy hyundais with bigger exhaust than I do then there is no drama. on the highway overtakin is where I think you can get into trouble real quick. bit of comon sense needed there.

spot on benny I think its all about weather if the person will know what the power is to expect and if they will respect that a car smoking at 100km/h is the real deal.

most blokes think a powerful car is 1 that can wheel spin from the lights to the other side ...................but I say a powerful car is the one that can brake traction once its going and then to the next set of lights 2km down the road :innocent::3gears:

also turbo power is nothing like any other kind of power delivery and anyone who hasnt drove or owned 1 just wont understand :levitate:

its annoying when people ask to go for a ride, its like "ok where do we go "? they dont understand. theres no where I can drive my 500hp, let alone kw !! too much power for street and highways are plagued with cops. way too sketchy. plus then get caught with a screamer and your car gets towed. I just say no, my car is not like ya mates vl where we get all the boys and do street races with a full car. most people that ask the question are derros.

most blokes I work with think that a stock supercharged v6 comy is fast. and NOTHING will beat their mates clubby with an exhaust and k@n air filter cause they run 11s like that :roflmbo:

500 or 600rwkw's is mental with traction fella's, and only achievable with full slicks at a track........ There is no explanation worthy of a car capable of accelarating to 100 or in 60-80km increments in a couple of seconds, the g-forces are phenomenal (beyond words). :beerchug::innocent::roflmbo:
