Did they pull the whole exhaust off or just undo the rubber thingys and pull it down?

Hazey Member 234 Member For: 21y 5m 11d Posted 25/09/10 02:36 AM Author Share Posted 25/09/10 02:36 AM The old tip from muffler was cut off and new one welded on. They did not take exhaust off the car. Thing is it resonates back through as I can hear it under my seat ??The tip was 50 from supercheap. Think that's the problem. Don't want to buy another tip to find I get the same problem

I.e. under a car? There's not much room under the skirt, surely they took it off?Maybe find a good exhaust shop ASAP and get them to ID the problem and find a fix? A decent shop should be able to find and fix it.

One was a large oval and one was a straight out round tip the same size as the exhaust. The oval tip was so much louder it was ridiculous. We swapped to the straight out tip and the problem was solved.Another thing to check would be that the tip isn't touching any of the body work. Weird.
