I have been collecting parts for this build since december. I managed to talk my uni into allowing me to do my thesis on modding my car.

Car: Ex-NSW Hwp 08 BF mk2

Stock Power 206.5rwkw

Mods: 60lb injectors

ebay turbo oil line

X-force 3.5in split dump and Xforce cat

Redback cat back

PW stage 2 IC core

Rapid hot and cold side piping

Plazmaman under battery CAI

Tuner: X3 from CV performance

Result: 326.9 rwkw on 14 psi :spoton:

Future plans: PW surge tank and bosh pump going on asap

Over all I'm very pleased with the result, acceleration is so much more urgent. My little bro is stoked at the new noises it makes, with the induction and BOV sounds, the girlfriend is not so pleased. :3gears:

Nice mods setup mate! Totally different drive from stock hey, there is just no comparison!

That stock fuel pump is doing well for that power level !!!

Enjoy the drive!

Cheers

Great work getting uni to let you do a thesis on it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm similar, full exhaust with 3.5" dump to twin 2.5", nizpro cooler + cold side pipe, 42lb injs, intank walbro, f6 intake on stock airbox and the current tune is 316rwkw (almost max of injectors).

Good idea to get a surge tank! It's something I'd like to get, will have to save hardcore though...or do some cashies :)

Steve my 42lbs boschs made 350rwkw... maybe it's because it was through a manual and they were being used at 100% duty cycle...

My parts only cost was under 4k - Nizpro cooler and piping to suit stock crossover was 1160, you can get injectors for around 300, intank pump was 350ish fitted, full exhaust was 1800. Then you gotta fit them yourself or get them fitted which is what I did. That part is negotiable :)

I've chosen a good cooler for better consistency of the power. You could hit 300s for less but you get heatsoaked and possibly laggier if you dont get a big dump and cat fitted, not to mention needing more PSI to get the power.

Sort of depends on if you want to do it on the cheap or not! I bought the cooler second hand, new inj/pump/exhaust. Exhaust was a bit of a mad splash out on my part though, coulda done dump and cat only.

Worm....yeah I'm running the ZF and not keen on 100% duty cycle at all! It's close enough as is. I've heard of up to 350rwkw though yeah :)

I bought lots of the parts 2nd hand. I have not added up the exact numbers but I think it was around 5-6k. I didn't fit anything myself. It could have been cheaper if I had more time to hunt for 2nd hand parts, and if I had have bought the exhaust as an entire system rather then 2 different half systems.

I think I intended to spend 3k at the start, but it never turns out exactly how you plan it. Surge tank added an extra $900 to the build, as did labor. Oil line and hot side were both things I didn't plan on at the start, but am glad I have them now.

After doing this build my advice is to be careful what you get from ebay, try stick to buying your 2nd hand stuff from other members of the forum. I ended up having to pay to get the intercooler modified and buy new pipes for it after getting what I thought was a complete bolt on system off ebay. (hence the PW cooler and rapid pipes)

Ok this is what I did for my BF and I made 330+

Deka 60's $350.00 (maybe $50 fitted)

100 cell Cat $160.00 from Rapid ($100 for an exhaust shop to weld in)

HDI cooler $650.00 ($200 to fit)

Delphi intank Pump $500.00 ($50 to fit)

Xcal 3 Flash Unit $800.00 (too late now for the Herrod $200 cash back)

12 psi Actuator $150.00 (fittting $50)

Centre Muff Remove $150.00

Total $3160.00

Easy make +300 and within your budget!
