I did see if you know what your doing you can set custom PID's. Possibly that would make the oil temp readable.

I dont see why not, it would just take someone really tech savvy to find out the PID sent out from the ecu. I managed to find the custom PID for the trans temp and got that working

Bored on my holidays and want to try this out with an old iPhone I have.

Do I need to buy an iPhone compatible OBD and are there any which fit beneath the cover (or do they all?)
