I have used it to. but have only tried it on a n/a xr6 and it says throttle position is 14% on idle to me I dont think that is right but could be wrong. I hope it works on the turbo when I get it back. but for what it is seems to be a good app

Nope, mine did the same, sent it back. it was still counting at 700+ errors

It should read 0 errors.

It seems alot of the cheap Chinese ones have these problems, or will be working fine then just die.

My Samsung Galaxy gets hot too when using bluetooth or internet heavily. Think its just the processor being worked harder + battery drain.

If it fails, get a new one under warranty. your only using it for what it was designed for.

Iphonrs users :

u need an app call REV and the ebay dongle to get is called KiwiWiFi (its a wifi based dongle as the iphone has a poor bluetooth connectivity, or you can use the ELM 327 based bluetooth, but require a jailbroken iphone and a bluetooth stacker app

I think someone said somewhere that the plug can be unclipped from the fuse box and pushed back so that the cover will still fit with pretty much any of the adapters.

really? Il have to take a closer look, but I must say Id prefer not to touch the clip, just plug in and play

To everyone whinging about faulty obd adapters; it's all explained here: http://torque-bhp.co...etooth_Adapters

Adapter from China/via ebay/amazon

Many units seem to suffer poor build quality and reliability issues. Some units are perfectly fine. Make sure you purchase with a buyer who has a decent returns policy should the unit turn out to be defective. I would recommend avoiding this adapter, *especially* if you intend to use it on a Ford or other vehicle which uses the J1850-PWM protocol

Edit:

1600dave is correct. Unclip the odb plug as it has a decent length cable on it. That way you can plug the adaptor in to it and have the sender/receiver and most the cabling neatly hidden away behind the kick panel under/behind the fuse box.

My adapter arrived, I got one of the smaller ones of ebay and I can plug it in and put the fuse cover back in. Just not sure if it's ok to leave it plugged in as I've noticed a light stays on after turning the car off so will have to look in to it.

The free app doesn't have oil temp or pressure available so will get the paid one and see if that has it. Is it really normal for these cars to have coolant temp go over 100 and temp needle is still below half way? Do they really run this hot?
