Was very impressed so paid out for full version today. Is a great app, well worth $5. Havent figured out a few of the gauges yet but most are working. Have a capa flasher and run 15psi boost. is nice too have a bit more information available fron the ecu

I have an old iphone 3g I want to try as well , I was looking for apps for it but they all seem to use a wifi obd2 adapter which was a bit dearer than 30 bucks. Got the same screen running MAP, trans temp, oil temp, intake temp, coolant temp and a shift light. Can also run other screens like the homepages on a smart phone, just click to the next set of gauges
rule1110 Member 71 Member For: 16y 6m 29d Posted 28/09/10 06:07 AM Author Share Posted 28/09/10 06:07 AM bit of a bummer, when it connects to the bluetooth adapter is its says, incompatiable ECU, but torque will still try to read the data anyway. It manages to read the boost and coolant temp. Coolant temp seems about right. The boost stays on -9.9 psi at idle and when you drive it gets back to nearly 0. If you wind it right out it got to 5psi. Might have got to 6psi if I really pushed it but I couldn't really test it much cause its pouring rain. Hunia - Where did you getyour adapter from and does it all work properly. Mine was a $30 ebay job from hong kong so I can't expect too much.
Hunia Member 2 Member For: 16y 9m 8d Gender: Male Posted 28/09/10 08:41 AM Share Posted 28/09/10 08:41 AM I bought my bluetooth adaptor from trademe in NZ, looks the same as others I have seen on ebay from China. Mine also says incompatible ecu on starting app but then tries to read data and mostly works. Havent figured out how to get a couple of the gauges going but most work fine. will get a video up at weekend on youtube with a link on this thread. Have emailed developer for help to add extended PIDs and fix issues.List of gauges I use that work are Boost, Speed, Revs, Timing advance, Intake air temp, Coolant temp, Acceleration, Engine load, Fuel trim, O2 volts, Altitude. Havent tried quarter mile,0-100km/h, horsepower, torque, fuel level, fuel pressure, MPG, or barometric pressure. Gauges I havent got working yet are voltmeter(dont need as my bel radar detector is set to read volts) and throttle position sensor. Will experiment more this weekend. My Ute has been modified mostly by first owner , has no cat or 02 sensor in exhaust so not sure how this will affect ecu data, also have flashed with CAPA tuner and boosts to 15psi on a grippy surfaceRunning Torque App on a Nexus one and have been trying different screen layouts, have been trying to get cooler air into engine so mainly watching intake air temp on way to work to see what effects my efforts are having.Have been trying to add extended PIDs codes for Knock retard with as have had problems with missing before I changed coil packs.Havent looked at error codes yet either
rule1110 Member 71 Member For: 16y 6m 29d Posted 29/09/10 10:45 AM Author Share Posted 29/09/10 10:45 AM I got all those same guages working now. Pretty cool app, I bought the full version cause its only $4.80 AU and might as well support the developers because they will continue to improve it. I've only got my boost to 5psi on my standard ba xr6t. If you were keen enough you could buy one of those 7 inch android tablets and make yourself a cool set of guages just don't know where you would put it.So far only got boost, revs and coolant temp to read. I do have a Nokia Bluetooth kit in the car so I might try it again with that disabled. does you boost read -9.9 psi at idle?

Might have to unclip the obd2 plug and relocate it so I can still have the plastic cover on. I bought the smallest dongle I could find on there.
