Aaaah, won't be long and the real tune will be on the way - another one in the vortex. Good to see!!! Posted 02/10/10 06:50 AM Share Posted 02/10/10 06:50 AM Harryh - Right tuner, right mods should make no difference to reliability - aim at a set up in the 300 rwkw area & the drive line componentry should be fine. In fact, if you look at the fact that the engine is custom tuned specifically for your car and requirements, it may well last longer. Basic things as boost control and fuel will be covered in this sort of set up - and that means everything. I was relieved to flash back to how it was.... but I still want the spark cut on shifts, they tell me its the transmission end that has to be modified, as as mentioned all torque reduction was returned to stock in my 2nd file and the car still wont spark cut on changes (only does it when flashed back to stock)also even tuned I cant build much boost stationary before the throttle cuts, been trying sone 2nd gear launches boosting off the line, and when it lets me my 0-100km/h time is same as taking off in 1st LOLas you mentioned with gear shift, when I took it to the 1/4 I had trouble in performance with very slow shifts, and also crappy 1-2 shift under very light throttleno after plenty of driving and thrashing it, it shifts as quick if not quicker than stock, part throttle 1-2 shift is improved, but not seamless like it is 100% stockAs you might have seen I got my car tuned recently and the torque reduction removed. Its made a great difference to the way the car accelerates now but have noticed that when coming to a stop after hard acceleration, as you come to a stop it feels like the tranny shifts back to 1st gear very abruptly. Do you have this same issue? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/70612-nice-g6et-tune-job/page/2/#findComment-1071619 Share on other sites

I only just got my G6ET and will be doing intake mods to start off. Can you please tell me where you got the xr8 intake and snorkle from? I have been trying to decide what to replace stock air intake with, most likely it will be a bpr or plazaman kit.Enjoy the boost!
