Hey its only fair that you take some pics of the police car, god knows they take enough (revenue raising) pictures of our cars!!!

The Police dont operate the fixed speed cameras my friend. Lets not get into this AGAIN !!

You have not been to the NT recently. And come to mention it I recall the NSW police being copped with parking fines for leaving police vehicles set with cameras on foot paths :(

I was down at Jindabyne last week visiting my brother (& skiing!), and the highway patrol boys down there are running 1x red SS, 1x blueprint XR8 and 1x acid rush XR6T (and also a whole suite of white SS's).

My brother is an ex-cop, & we talked to a few of the h/way patrolers. Their prefered weapon of choice in the mountains is the turbo. Easier to punt around corners at speed, and just plain more enjoyable to drive!

Hearing that made me smile...

I saw a segment on the news a few months ago about these cars. They got these colours to stand out in the snow because white blended in too much.

The turbo would be loving the temperatures over there! :D

Sorry mate but you're not reading my post. Fixed cameras (intersections, on traffic lights, signs, poles etc) are not operated by the Police, the govt runs them. We do speed detection in a 'mobile' sense, I.e. move around. I can also gurantee you that if the NSW coppers were given parking tix for something to do with their duty, I.e. speed detection, that no action would have been taken because, according to legislation, they are acting in accordance with their duty and therefore not liable. Would have been some over zealous parking inspector who would've been made to look very silly for doing it, not to mention the bum kicking from his boss.

I can't speak for NT, but in just about everywhere else I've been the coppers use lasers and radars. I know NSW cops use the cameras (or did) but, like I said, they aint fixed.

BTW, does anyone else's occupation get sledged on this forum ? I'm not overly sensitive, 15 years on the job has stopped that. But just curious. Never seen anyone else's job pointed out and bagged

Cheers
