The only whinge I have is unmarked cars sitting at Charity Events waiting for someone to break the law.

Then booking booking me because I left dirt marks on the road when leaving saying I did a skid...

It will be concluded in court because I have pictures but yeh that was Australia Day wasnt fun getting abused told im not even driving a v8 trying to do skids that im an idiot and getting abused for a minute about it.

I'm sure he's not disappointed being paid to drive/flog an FG F6 :busted1::3gears: , but he does look a little disappointed as I go past at about 45. I'll bet as he sees the nose appear around the corner he's expecting the car's a prime candidate for revenue collection.

I dont think they get to personally keep the revenue, but ya never know, each state is different.

01txr - Frankly, if you speed and are caught by a marked/unmarked/impounded police car you deserve to be fined no matter how much you believe the police "enticed" you to do so. YOU chose to speed, therefore YOU will be fined.

As I.B as already pointed out, you can ramble on with the "cops tailgated me so I sped, or came up with a complex plan to make me dangerously change lanes and speed, or dragged me off at the lights to make me speed" BS, but 99% of other drivers never ever attract this amount of attention from the boys in blue.

That makes your opening "Im so innocent, never hoon, over 25" comment a little hard to believe.

Finally some decent support against the usual sooks.

Driving along the f3 towards home (central coast) came up behind a general duties car hogging the right lane with driver on the phone doing 10ks under the limit, Went past her down the inside and she followed. I made sure I sat on 110 dead but chopped through the traffic forcing her to slow down then accelerate. She followed me to the ourimbah exit and her lights came on. For the first time in my life (im normally in the wrong and just accept a fine no arguaments) I jacked up and said I hadnt a f*cking clue why she followed me. After about ten minutes of explaining that if she slows down behind another car of course she will have to go over 110 to catch up again. After a while the dumb bitch got the idea I was gonna keep arguing with her and said she would book her car in to have the speedo checked and to slow down in future. I asked her why she didnt find it appropriate to pull over the 50 cars we went past who were clearly breaking the law by not keeping left instead concentrating on me and a fine she could never prove and she suggested speeding causes more accidents then not keeping left, at which point I gave up half the accos on the f3 are caused by poor driving like not keeping left forcing people to do silly things to go past she just didnt get it.

Lucky for you it wasnt the highway patrol or you would have been walking home. Play with fire and get burnt scenario me thinks.

I.B I have no problems with police going under cover or anything like that....Don't think I have ever recieved a ticket I didn't deserve...But to a certain degree police do target people driving high performance cars..There has been a few occasions driving at night sticking to the speed limit and honestly not breaking any road rules....where a under cover police car has come out of no where, stuck to my arse and followed me for k's....on an other occasion just pulled over to let them through...not knowing they where police....thinking it was someone in a hurry and they have given me the third degree...lights action the lot....

If that was a camry or so, the boys in blue wouldn't have given him a second look...

I honestly believe we are targeted to certain degree.....alot more than the average motorist...

I think the boys in blue do a great job....been let off quite a few times... :busted1:

Unfortunately hooning and performance cars correlate much more than we all woud like. Camry dirvers are yet to hold this prestigous reputation and generally they are unmodified and there drives licenced. Regardless of the crying poor arguments that others present, this fact remains.

Honestly I have no complaints, from the age of 17 when I got a S15 untill now driving a XR6 Turbo, I've never had any problems with them.

The one time I got pulled over for being a bit of an idiot inside a car park, I admitted that what I did was stupid and just talked to them with respect, and at the end was let off.

Jumping up and down threatening them that you'll take them to court, that you know your rights blablabla is going to get you no where.

Yeah, but Camry drivers hold the prestigous reputation of not being able to keep left, not being able to maintain a constant speed or drive as close as practicable to the speed limit, not being able to operate their indicators, not being able to keep their car within the lane markings, not being able to merge properly or give way, and having no personality in general. All of which can contribute to dangerous situations whether through their own inability to operate a vehicle properly or by causing such frustration with other people that they end up doing something risky/stupid to avoid said Camry "driver".

I owned an old but good condition camry v6 before the turbo. I had it lowered and on nice rims (I know, I know, why modify a camry? I needed something super reliable for a few years, and it certainly was, I just had to make it look better...the most boring years of my driving life) and on several occasions I was pulled over for no other reason than to check 'around' the car.. was in the right lane on an empty highway once as there was a few police cars pulled over on the left shoulder.... I moved to the far right for safety reasons... one of them promptly racede up behind me with lights and excessive show factor just to make me move back over. I was booked for speeding a few times in that car... it went surprisingly well....

Since having the xr6t, I havnt been pulled over, followed or checked at all. It all depends how you drive IMO. Drive like an idiot, expect attention. Break the law, expect a fine.

Oh I'm not going to deny that, never would bother trying to.

But the fact sitting at a gate all day pulling people over with older cars and utes that get brought out for one day a year, to pull them over is BS.

And it cant be denied up here that certain "periods" of the month they dont come out in full force, funny enough its always around the same times each year.... Just before the stats get drawn up.

Like said before I have respect for the Officers in Blue, but the certian select few bring a bad name. Like the ones who sit outside charity events trying to nab anyone for anything..
