Last year a stolen SS was chased on and off from Cairns to the NSW border.... Engaged about 15 times and each time it was called off when he took it above 200kph.... They even identified the driver with photo's they got when he passed certain points, as a French national but could not catch him.. Don't know if they got him in NSW or not..........

Yeah they couldn'rt catch him cause he was full of frogs legs.

I was driving down bondi beach, and they told me to turn off my fog lights cause they are glarey(however u spell it). and that it is an $80 fine.

I think they just wanted to have a closer look at the car.

I got done here in Perth for having my fog lights on.. 100 and 1 point!! There has to be a way to use them ie lowering the globe brightness? I love the look but dont want to pay 100 bucks each time I get pulled over!

It's the fact that you have two sets of lights on at the front that is the main concern, although I have been around heaps of cops with the foggies on and they havent even looked twice. Just tell them you drove through some fog about 15 minutes ago and forgot to turn them off.

you love the look, 2 small lights dont change the look of the car, so I would rather be not using the lights and using that $80 odd on petrol or even alcohol...

yeah I kept mine off since I got pulled over a few months back with a $100 fine and 1 point. the police officers said that u can only have one pair of lights on at a time unless its foggy.
