From what I know, being in years of street racing... It is legal for the coppers to do that. As much of a bas*ard act as it is, they do it in Ipswich, Toowoomba, and they used to do it out at the logan meets as well. I've heard of em doing it at the Gold Coast but that was before they closed "The Spit" off to us. So we were forced to go into town as a protest. If they had of left "The Spit" to us, then we would have been out of the way of the townsfolk. The mentality of coppers amazes me having grown up with a Dad with 36 years served as a cop and he agrees.

Speeding is wrong yes, but to harass people for simply having a nice sports car is just wrong in my oppinion.

Entrapment or Agent Provocateur is where you encourage, assist or compel someone to do something they ordinarily wouldn't do.

The street racer amongst us (hey I was a young bloke too once upon a time....to catch a thief you must be a thief or so the saying goes) would be a bit smarter than just having a go against any old thing. You would do a recce first, get some feedback from the others as to who is in town and what they're doing, how fast they are etc.

It would be quite stupid as well as illegal to bait someone into a drag at the lights. Police are only exempt from the Australian Road Rules under Section 305 when they are performing their duty.

Agent Provocateur is NOT performing your duty!

I was warned by SWMBO that the number plates would attract the attention of the police. No worries, I responded, because I just won't speed. Then there is the colour. I wanted silver but at the last moment decided on something DIFFERENT (CITRIC ACID). B)

It seems that everywhere I go lately I am being followed by a police car. Sometimes they seem to go out of there way to follow me an sit in my blindspot. There must be another one out there like mine that has done something naughty for it to be attracting so much attention .

I must say that I was surprised by the efforts of a marked police ss Late model camira that followed me for 20min on the way to summerset dam. After he realised I wasn't going to break the law he GUNNED it past me and kept on going :o I could smell the unburnt fuel he left behind for quite a while. Intersting how the law seems to be applied differently to some folk

I haven't been booked for anything yet (touch wood). On the positive side, at least no one is trying to race me when the police are around.

Yeh seen him on the Pacific Highway at Springwood the other day, and he got one of my mates too for doing 125 km, apparently he had a video camera in his hands while he was driving, IS THAT EVEN legal?

Apparenly the fog lights start flashing and there are some Blue and Red LEDS in the grill, beware!!!!!!!!!!

More likely it's because the Citric Acid looks so damn Good! and the HWP guys want to see what a REAL car looks like not the Brand X we have been stuck with driving due to the AU not being as good a package (I personally loved it but the majority hated it)

Be happy that they love your car!
