Yeah, they got the FG F6s, saw an orange one about a month ago turning from Cumberland to Hume hwy and continued south. I was a little surprised that it didn't have tinted windows.

Yeah Ive noticed a lot of unmarked cars dont use tints now. Saw heaps of them driving around the city and inner city about 3 months ago (not F6's just standard unmarked cars) pulling people over for using their mobile phones. They were doing some sort of blitz. Each car had 3-4 police inside all looking out for drivers talking on their phones.

My dads mate is a undercover copper, lives in Greystanes and recently has had his patrol car changed from a red VE SS to a FG XR6T with custom plates.. last saw it at night time and it was of a dark colour

Can some one please explain the process of police especially undercovers keeping their patrol cars at their house?..

No. But many other organisations permit it. Whats the issue???

Global Economic Crisis??? NSW police can still find the money to upgrade their squad cars from BF > FG F6 Typhoons and XR6T. :)

So they get to take them home???

I heard one of the stations in western sydney recently got a bunch of Fg F6's and have started 'operation typhoon'. Not sure how true it is.

Been going on for over 12 months and typhoon is close but not quite.

Hate to say it but yes they have FG XRt's up here in QLD

They were training with one at Mnt Cotten last week in the skid pan and track 1.

But they had so many problems wiith the BA/BF's that I did not think they would have them back. They were giving this one hell. And amazingly it held up to it. I was kinda hoping it would break.

Operation Taipan I thought? At any rate I'm on the far side of the country so it's all academic for me. I see enough undercovers in all manner of beasts, I just like to assume every 10th car behind me is an officer :)

I can't be bothered reading back through all the pages, so apologies if its already been mentioned....

Warning for those of you that travel the M4 in Sydney. I have seen numerous unmarked police F6's sitting on top of the entry from twin servos/maccas onto the M4 (Eastbound) at Eastern Creek. You will not see them as you approach as they are sitting about 15 metres higher than the freeway. It is usually after peak hour finishes.

A few truckies have told me about a blue FGT doing the rounds of the M4 of late, but its a bullsh!t one. Some bloke has fitted it out with aerials and lots of lights inside that flash yellow. They say it has personlised plates, such as rohan or royan.

So feel free to give it the bird.

Vehicles taken home by police are for on call police usually,

most highway and operation vehicle are left at the station when off duty.

why do you guys worry over police so much,

why do you guys talk about whats being driven so much. I know the arguements about where police "HIDE" however you never thought of what police let slip by e.g. ticketing only when speeds are over 20km. Althrough I will be first to say some just never give warnings to anyone.

Ow and just in case NO POLICE GET ANY COMMISION FROM GIVING TICKETS

And What country are you in?? A tolerance of 20 plus.

There are few nervous ones on here that like to ask silly questions and blame everyone else, but there easily sorted.
