Driving home tonight at noticed a purple SS in a side street at Mosman, waiting to turn left (not allowed to).

Thought to myself, wonder if it's that unmarked police car that's been doing the rounds there lately.

Sure enough it was.

He nabbed two naughty drivers with the help from the HWP just down the road from where they did an illegal LHT.

Me, I just cruised past. Fortunately the nabbed drivers pulled off the road so that the peak hour traffic could use all the lanes afforded to them. Very thoughtfull of them.

Are all of these different types of police cars, solely out there to pin everyone for a lil speed here and there. Couldnt they also be used to watch the local drug dealers in the childrens park or tail a bunch of crooks about to stick up your local servo??

A much bigger picture here being completely missed.

I agree, and in my experience well actually having no licence for the next 6 years tells a big story lol.

there *beep* the hwy patrol no sympathy towards burnouts, fare enough stupid speeds like 40 over limit but a controlled donut or linelocker or my favourite

the fishtailing powerskid. (IT'S JUST NOT CRICKET) in my eyes. :censored:

It's called skill and power, I'll understand if you don't understand.

Seen an unmarked fluro green FG XR6 but it was a VicRoads car, didn't take a photo, I dare say the lights and aerials are going to be pretty much the same as Vic Pol when they start rolling them out.

Still don't think cops would use old cars, they are a government organisation, any body who has worked for the government knows you need to sign 6 documents just to blow your nose, then another 8 documents to dispose of the waste. Too many legalities using weird models of cars, and no point given a cop could pull somebody over every 3 seconds if they wanted to, not too mention there is more non-traffic related problems around for them to stretch over to warrant super covert cars.
