dont really pay alot of attention to check the revs at stall up, im more looking at the boost gauge I think it was around 3k mark, a while back ive had 3800-3900 on stall up, but to no advantage.

Hey guys, I was there last night aswell. Perfect turnout of cars, most were getting 6 or 7 runs and was good to see alot of BA/BFs.

I had the Blueprint BA NA XR6, ran a 14.28, best 60ft was 2.109. Didnt stall it up on that run either, just walked it off the line. My tyres arent the best, they need to be changed. Stalled it up on a couple of the runs to 1200rpm but it just spun and tramped off the line running 14.3s/14.4s.

Cheers

Ah yes I saw you there, great job for a N/A very frustrating when u have to walk it off the line.

Thanks mate, yeah it certainly is. With a fresh set of tyres and a stalled launch im hoping it will dip into the 13s. Well done on your PB too!!

All this converter talk.. but focusing on Stall speed..

There's so much more to a converter than stall speed.

Ivans converter is a smaller diameter converter, it was previously done by someone else, but it chewed up a bush, or the lockup mechanism up (more likely to happen with a smaller diameter convertor than a bigger one).

when it was repaired, it was altered a little as it so it wasn't as swashy. Overall, its a pretty good converter. It has VERY good drive in it.. so its not just all revs and minimum drive, which I find very important in a daily vehicle.

I know I had a number of combinations done with my converter before we were all totally happy. Although, mY converter is still the original sized ford unit.
