Will be interested to see how it goes mate.

We all take the piss because there such an expensive way to get power out of a six but will be interesting to see how they actually compare. You going for decent power or just entry level mid 200's?

5-6k not really that expensive considering I paid 8.5k for my car anyway when I first got it.. sure the costs of bits and pieces getting it where I want add up but it's done over time and I dont owe money on it

goin for low-mid 200's for now.. I have injectors, fuel pump and valve springs but would need a gearbox rebuild to hold over mid 200's. also has the xr6t diff and axles

final goal between 270-290rwkw still on the standard bottom end

was going to install the turbo gear I have but I put it up for sale.. want to do something different

needs to sell first..

im sure youve heard it before, but if your goal is power, trade it in for a t. the money would be less and the power of a stocky will be more than a well modded n/a.

but if youre dead keen then 4.11 diff gears will help alot with acceleration.

What fuel consumption would we be looking at here? And would you know what diff gears a 2007 XR6 Ute MkII runs as stock?

hmmm

underdrives = ehh it doesnt really tickle me so I never really cared

Intake = yeah but not much of an increase

exhaust = YUP.. def felt it in the seat once I got ph 4490's extractors.

cams = well worth it, def good top end... I didnt get much power because the tuner was sh*t

but despite that the performance factor after 4 thousand RPM it just came alive and ALOT more pull, I spent = 400 for crow camshafts, 500 installation, 700 for tuning it as it didnt idle after installing.

capa stock tunes = nah that's crap

stallie = Not yet but DEFINATELY would put it in if im not going to convert to a t56 manual.

Diff gears = mines a single pegger... so im not sure was going to try 3.7's but I mite leave it and get a lsd

kazz lsd/lsd = dont know, havent thought about it yet will after

TURBO KIT / charger = HELL Yeah... pickup a nice kit for around 1.2, install is about 1500-2000 but if u can find a mech as a mate will be hell cheaper really straight forward...

im only telling you how the car feels and drives I have no clue on the dyno yet as im tuning the car after the kits on mine with the cams

tune = 1400 with the new xcal 3 n hoping to pull alotta power and it will words dont express it but def would be a rush to drive the thing.

with injectors, bigger intercooler and stuff you'd be running close to 300rwkw without upping the boost more then 8psi id say.

Finally some good news about a cam install!! have only heard they're good for a little bit of sound but nothing after that...

I would like to know how the supercharger goes aswell.. Ive given up on getting power from an N/A (for now) and would rather something that's unique at the moment, no matter what you do theres always going to be something that's got more power anyway  haha

I kinda don't get it. It has to be the way to go to just trade up to a T if power is your goal. Unless of course you just going to pull the motor out and replace it with a proper Atomic one.

A supercharger will suck more juice than a turbo will.

The point of the n/a is cheaper buy in, cheaper running and better % resale.

And the fact you can put your foot to the floor and keep it there for 1,000,000 k's and nothing breaks. Ask any cabbie. Or idiot instructor. Well the diff will go but that's a given.

People think it's cheaper and some even claim they have done it cheaper. Weather it's worth it over a standard turbo or not is a matter of opinion/common sense.

I've learnt over time that rather then try to convince people to just buy a T it's better to just let them figure it out for themselves.
