Because the XR8 airbox is designed off the airbox off the Mustang Cobra, all I can say is, why waste your money anywhere else!

The XR8 airbox is a gem and I know the airbox in the Mustang Cobra works wells because you can hear the bloody thing working!

If it didn't work Ford wouldn;t use it...they have basically put the best package together to make up for all those years of squandering sales and reputation to General Motors!

Go the XR8 airbox!!!

I think there was a legality question in regards to the fitment of the XR8 standard airbox to the XR6T.

By fitting factory stamped parts to a car this means that the parts have been approved by the manufacturer to fit a model.

If you fit the standard XR8 airbox to the Turbo you are only replacing one part number with another, so therefore as far as the legality question goes I cannot see how you would have a problem.

If the XTV8 has a normal square type of airbox, and the XR8 has the cylindrical type of airbox (of the Cobra) then fitting one to the other would also be legal, even though they are for different models within the range.

I would speculate that the actual dimensions of the XR6 airbox and the XTV8 airbox are the same as well as the panel filter inside and it is only the ancillary connections and part numbers between models that are different.

The XR8 airbox would look factory but has the advantage of design and flow.

I would be more concerned for getting knocked off for having the centre silencer removed (and not replaced with another silencer) of having a drain pipe sized exhaust that make too much noise.

Or being completely imbecilic and removing the standard airbox and replacing it with a rampod style fo filter attachment. That is just dumb.

I have just purchased the SS Inductions kit for my otherwise stock (Except for K&N filter) XR6T. I will take detailed photos and let you all know how it feels and sounds shortly. Fingers crossed!

xr8 induction will definately not fit an XR6/T!

it will not fit between the radiator support and the engine, the intake is about twice the size of the hole. Would be nice but its just not going to fit, that's why the 6 induction is so much smaller and looks no where near as good
