There not that bad, I've done 2 5000 klm trips on federal 595 rsr. I'm not sure complicated is the right word but I don't know why legal tyres are being excluded. I say go for it on the big tyres, work with what you can :)

Ok let's ask to mods to change the topic to "post your non slick/radial 1/4 mile time" that would be much clearer right!

I dunno I think theres alot of merrit for someone running dunfops/mythos/invo/pirelli vs t05/mt/888's etc regardless of width I say regardless due to simple terms that a soft ( once hot very sticky ) tyre even in a less width will out perform a hard wide tyre

The question is how wide before it out performs sticky ?

Id say 245 m/t will keep out performing against a 275 sportmaxx in fact id guarantee it

I agree snot. The whole point of the thread imo was to highlight peoples efforts on factory spec rubber. But like anything these days people want to find ways to grey it up and promote their performances non factory spec rubber! I mean in drag racing they have the 10.5 class now to have a controlled tyred width.

But hey if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy to post your 11.3 on 275 R888's in a " post your STREET tyred 1/4 string" than so be it.

I can't believe how people simply don't get the point of this string I truly don't. Sure its just not you and I snot!

Hence why I said before let's just change the name of the string to " post your non slick/radial 1/4 time" as that seems more appropriate now.

Yeah still does my head in!

Yeh nothings black and white these days and for the ones posting up genuine street tyres that's where the record will lie

Unfortunately we will just have to keep reminding ppl what IS or isnt IN

I understand where you's are coming from but what makes the use of a non oem brand tire allowed then,,,lets not stop where one/some thinks the line must be drawn.....or do we stop there, who makes the rules

In all honesty make another thread that suits what you think is correct veva and don't worry about posting in this one, would do ya head in way less wouldn't it.

I have said it once before and ill say it again, people need to start running more times for themselves and stop worrying about what other people think on this forum.
