Yeah the fastest get kudos but I think anyone who runs in say 10.99 or faster should be in same group. The Rh9 club gtr skylines are tuning shops in Japan that have run 9.99 or faster on street rubber. Sure they have 4wd so I think 10's is good for us to aim for.The 245 our cars come equipped with is just bs. Corvettes, bmw's and supercars run massive rubber. We should too. Ofcourse we are limited by what will fit in the gaurds. As for wear rating I dont know much about it. I have seen tyres with lower numbers give worse traction than higher ones before. Before we discredit people because of certain size, type, wear rating I think we all need to agree on rules. What does others think? Got get get a blanket for my box its really cold in there!.

I had the new Invo's on. I did have the NT05's on that wed night 4 months ago when I had all those gearbox issues and the track was in awesome nik from the nitro camps that were on 3 days earlier.I'm not trying to overcomplicate it I'm trying to lay down some control / baselines. I guess an example of this is you've got 2 guys, same cars, same power, same trans, same skill level but one guy runs his factory dunlops and the other runs his 19 x 305's and turns to his mate and says "ha ha got you by half a second, told you you can't drive' This is why the new 10.5 tyre class at the drags has become such an exciting bracket because they are all limited to a control tyre. Maybe the topic should be re named to "post your 1/4 time NOT on slicks,MT's,ET's, semi slicks and tyre tread wear rating not under 240!I'm all for guys driving to and from the track in full street trim and doing awesome times. Hell it's even.more impressive at time watching these guys actually having to pedal the car due to the car overpowering the Tyres.Keep the banter coming and I'll step back now as I've had my 2 cents. Off to get some 18 x 330's and run mid 10!.330's won't fit, 305's will !!! Edited 24/08/12 01:35 AM by rednose
