Obviously a awd car (rexy, evos, etc) would have a xr6t off the line, but im talking more towards a quarter mile race.Cheers

Newer beasties usually have a factory launch control which tries to mininmise the damage yet may also mean a slower time as a price for reliability. Further down the quarter is a different matter.. The first 60ft are critical in getting a decent time, especially if you arent loaded with power. Its all about using what you have effectively. I can tell you, rolling start anywhere below 110 the rex would eat my Falcon. Due to the response of the Rex, and lack of traction in the falcon. Once the Falcon gets that power down and winds up... Well... My rex was tuned for response, and had alot of power under the curve. If you see a 200awkw rex with a front mount intercooler, you'd be a good chance against it. It'll be a lag monster. My 06 STi currently has around 200awkw and is no where near as quick as my old rex. Due to a poor tune and extra weight. Will soon change though, quality tune going in expecting 240awkw with plenty of torque from the 2.5L. I'd be confident against any XR6T on the street.I've said it before, there are alot of riced up Rexes getting around with FMICs that are slugs. The ones you have to worry about still have TMICs. No better feeling then driving past rexy's at 3/4 track!Xearesix did you ever ron you 99 over the 1/4?
gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 3m 13d Posted 08/10/10 05:01 AM Share Posted 08/10/10 05:01 AM there arent too many xr6ts running mid to low 11s in 100% street trim though - and by that I mean street driven tyres (no ET streets) with normal pressures capable of launching properly on the road. I know plenty of guys running 300awkw and up in street driven rexes who just aren't interested in drag racing. And you just wouldn't pick them to look at the cars. But if they did go to the drags... Very quick cars. These guys are track enthusiasts, and they don't care much race from the lights, so very rare you'll ever see these cars unleashed on the road. And yes, you'd run down the vast majority of rexes with an 11sec falcon. But only on a high grip drag strip Never ran my 99. Just not interested in dragracing anymore But by the figures, it would have been a mid 12 sec car, @ 110ish mph.
