Most oil pump failures appear to come from vehicles with manuals that regulary see the rev limiter.

But hey at least it 'should' be very reliable. I've been running 360rwkw for 20,000km now. Motor has 91,000km on it. Thrashed constantly.

Real Posted 07/12/10 12:28 AM Share Posted 07/12/10 12:28 AM Ive got a healthy 326.3rwkws running through my BA, deffs not a "hand grenade" as some people will refer to them as been when playing with a bit more power than what these bottom ends can handle! see my my signature for mods below, but ill tell u now, building a new bottom end for only 310-320 isnt worth the cash man, unless u have future plans of running 400+rwkws then it might be a worth while investment. u just need 2 be smart! use good quality fuel such and BP ultimate 98ron, or if u have a cruise or feel like a heavy foot day then liberty 100ron (u wont get a lot of km's out of it) So just be smart with how u look after it, warm it up in the morning, eg turn the key to ignition point so u hear your fuel pump turn on, wait 5 seconds and turn her on and let her warm up on idle for about 2 mins and your good to go! if u have thrashed your car all night and r pulling into the driveway, its a wise idea to let your car idle for a bit to let everything cool down properly before shutting off. just little things like this prolong your engine life, and service regularly hope this helps

Some places want a vin number for "your" fg f6 first. Almost a straight bolt in - grind a bit off one engine mount and change the dipstick position. How much power you chasing?
