Pick it up later today. When I bought my last car VT Berlina, there was not much emotion/excitement, but for some reason with this car its been a roller coaster of emotions for the past 5 days, trouble concentrating, anticipation, excitement, etc.

And for the pirce you picked it up for you could throw an LSD in it if you need...and your done. I read the owners manual in bed over a few nights.....and telling the missus all the features it had....this was her response.... So I just ....haha Edited 12/09/10 11:29 PM by juggernaut

hrick Member 210 Member For: 15y 1m 18d Posted 15/09/10 09:13 AM Author Share Posted 15/09/10 09:13 AM Its unreal...it just goes hard, very easy to go over the speed limit. One corner in my old car (VT Berlina ) I would always plant it and slowly go, today in the new car, it just skipped sideways a little then took-off like a greyhound after a bleeding bunny. This car IS sooo good. My last Ford was an old XA, its good to be home !

hrick Member 210 Member For: 15y 1m 18d Posted 16/10/10 06:47 AM Author Share Posted 16/10/10 06:47 AM (edited) Been a bit over a month now and am still loving it, driving at any chance I get, always waiting for the opportunity to push it, its bloody hard to restrain myself. There are a few minor warranty fixes I need to get done, but apart from that the car is solid. I feel it is a bit soft and would benefit from a more rigid/firmer suspension setup. I guess for now I`m still learning how the car behaves, whats safe and whats not so safe. Traveling at 50k`s in an 80 zone sitting behind a little red 4-cylinder the other day what an opportunity I thought !), planted it, she dropped a gear, and I reckon by about what seemed like 2 seconds that little red car was way way behind, I glanced at the speedo, it was doing 140 (fork me !)on winding down ! What a brilliant car ! Edited 16/10/10 06:48 AM by hrick

Pump about 39 (warm) in to mine...anything less and it feels a bit wobbly. And given the suspension has more give in it you don't notice the extra harshness of having the fckers so hard. Lsd is essential and can't believe they left it off a 4L turbo car ! his G6E also feels a bit boaty and doesnt seem to go as well ! but it's a personal thing ! the 5oth anny is certainly not bland though...makes the G6E look bland and the wheels are horrid ! hrick Member 210 Member For: 15y 1m 18d Posted 16/10/10 09:01 PM Author Share Posted 16/10/10 09:01 PM (edited) Bland probably was not the correct word, I just think the G6ET interior is more `plush`In terms of the LSD...well I can certainly live without it.Yeh, it is a bit soft at times (I dunno about boaty), but doesn`t the softer rear end allow it to sit down (squat) on take off..launching quicker`doesnt seem to go as well`? I haven`t driven an FG XRT so can`t really comment.Yeah it does it with too little ease...got a few special notices with pictures to prove it What pressure are you running in your tyres? Used to run the old car on 42 and was really used to the harsher ride maybe that`s why is think its so soft (comparatively)as I had the VT suspension set up that way I liked it (F/r sway bars/camber kit/ 17x8 on FE II) Edited 17/10/10 05:36 AM by Dagabond
