Noisy Turbo

My turbo has the same problem, (bearing is stuffed). Try turning off the car and feeling the intake pipe whilst the turbo spins down. If there is a viabration and excessive noise, could be your bearing within the turbo.

My brothers car does exactly the same thing...once its warmed up there is no noise at all...I reckon its a bearing issue but then again its hard to diagnose without taking turbo off...let me know how you go...as we would surely have the same issue...the other thing to note is that my brothers noise is not getting progressively worse it's just constant and its been going on for over 6 months.

Though we still plan on freshening up a spare turbo we have and changing it over just incase the turbo desintigrates and causes more damage...
