Greetings all,

after owning v8s since P plates 14yrs ago, I decided to spoil myself and buy a new daily driver for work. got a 07 BFII XR6T bionic with leather interior,xr8 rims...and I friggin love this car...

I asked a certain performance place for a power pkg quote: process west stage 2.1 + tune and I was quoted 3k 'drive in drive out' for '220-240rwkw' I was told..now I have no idea about turbos, to get my old 351 xD that power many yrs ago that price was fair, but from what I read on this forum 240rwkw can be obtained without too much effort...

what do you guys think?any advice much appreciated! cheers!!

lol mate I hope you mean 320-340 cause that's what your lookin at.

Youd make 240 with a tune alone without the Process West kit.

Which tuner quoted you this?

By the way, :roflmbo:

Gday berzerker thanks for the reply, it was VCM suite and here is the reply-straight cut & paste. Note-not trying to dis the tuner,I like doing research and work hard for my cash so here is:

Initially we would suggest a tune and a good filter as a basic starter

modification - just yesterday we had an automatic BF xr6T – with just

those mods make 200rwkw.

From there your looking doing something to the exhaust and getting an

intake of some description.

The starter tune and filter is $1100.00

Following that it depends on your budget where you want to go.

If you wanted to do a tune, a process west intercooler with an under

battery cold air intake system (Process West Stage 2.1) – our package

price would be $3,195.00

This would get you to the limits of the standard fuel system – and I

would suggest around the 220-240rwkW – depending on the car.

Our next steps would be injectors, and a high flow in-tank pump setup.

mate, all you need is some deka 60lb injectors, hiflow 100cell cat, remove middle muffler, internal walbro fuel pump, x3 flash + tune and a cooler package. May as well do it all if your spening 3k+. save you tuning later on.

For the above, drive in, drive out (depending what intercooler package you go for), you will be looking at about $3500-4000.

Mind you if you get parts second hand form this forum classified section, you will save even more! With the above you will get about 330-350rwkw with your car. If its a ZF 6speed you dont even need to rebuild your auto!

Try a few tuners. Where are you located and we can help you out with some local tuners around your area.

Just check to see if that's a mistake, if not walk away and go elsewhere as they are either complete fools or taking you for a ride.

Your car should pull around 200 at the wheels stock, from memory my BF ute was 211rwkw.

Cheers *Beep*, great info!

yes its a ZF auto and live in Melbourne. 300+rwkw! sheesh, with 2 baby seats in the back LOL..good thing I also bought a territory as a family car!

Agree tab & berzerker at first I thought it was a typo, but mentioning 200s twice in the same email.hmmmm..and this im assuming is a general question most people that own an XRT would ask!!

thanks guys, this forum is awesome

one more question, the car still has factory ford warranty for another few months...will these mods void? LOL

Yeah it will void generally anything to do with the drive line. Motor gearbox etc

So if I were you id be going over the car to find anything that may be nackered that would need changing.

Get your local mechanic to check if the rear diff bush is stuffed. If it is ford will replace under warranty

You have to remember that a tuner using VCM has to pay for licence fees on top of their tuning price, so the tune itself does not appear to dear assuming they are doing a full custom tune and not just an hour or so on the dyno.

Injectors would normally be done before the cooler, but doing the cooler will result in a more consistant tune, there can be a hundred ways to go about modifying the car, you need to work out with your tuner which is the best way for you for what you want.
