stillcruizin Member 7 Member For: 14y 6m 25d Posted 09/09/10 08:00 AM Share Posted 09/09/10 08:00 AM I need help from all you "gurus" with a rough idle & stalling at idle problem. I have a BA turbo ute, stock as a rock & came on the forum a few month back with the same problem and it was suggested a new TPS would sort the problem. I replaced it & really shouldn't have touched a spanner on that particular day (complete clusterf**k day), anyway it didn't sort the problem and it has been suggested an Oxygen Sensor is what's needed. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. Tony.

But I later replaced the oxygen censor which completely fixed my problem and was also purchased off ebay for around $70 and was fitted at a local mechanics for $50 because it was too tight to remove.I also did the throttle body clean which only made the car more responsive but for a 20 minute job, well worth it.Search the forum and all the how do's or diy's and they are all on the site with pic's.Best of luck.Dave. Thanks, Tony.It fixed the Idle problem, I never had a problem with accelerating. Have a look at each Plug and Coil before you buy to check for problems. How many km's has your car done?Dave. I've just gotten it tuned and still have the idle problem with new injectors. It was quite bad the other day after giving it a little on the highway so it was suggested it could be valve springs, but I like the idea of trying a new 02 sensor first going from those ebay prices! My car has just ticked over 100,000ks - May 2007 build.

As suggested, a throttle body clean, O2 sensor. If that fails, then plugs and coil.
