Sorry Ken and other HgAg lovers, this looked yuck. HgAg XRs look OK (did I really say that?! :spit: ), but this GT-P just looked strange. Just plain with no stripes. I've seen GTs and GT-Ps in pretty much every other colour and they look horn but this one did absolutely nothing for me. I thought it was a Fairmont at first. Maybe it needed stripes?

There is one down here in Tassie, and I have to agree. I am not sure the stripes would fix it either. It just looks dull washed out even. I don't like the colour on the XR8 either so maybe it is a bulge problem :spit:

It looks great on the Xr6s

well IMO, I saw one in cruising into Ipswich (which is strange as I didnt think many ppl in this city could afford one) and it looked great. The bulge does a lot for me and as I drove past I gave him the :spit: . He did the same.

I do agree it doesnt stand out like many other colours in the range, but any GT, GT-P is full on.

I feel that the XR6T in merc silver is an awesome looking car. That said I also think that the GT in the same color is a bit ordinary. I believe the GT should be one of the solid colors, Red, Orange, Black etc. :spit:

Just my 2c worth. B)

Best post on this thread cassius, :D :spit:

Have seen a GT-P in HgAg, only in the showroom but and it looked nice, could do with black Shelby stripes or the GT stripes down the bonnet, roof and boot.

However, as I have previously stated, the GT needs to be bold, so it was not an option for mine. B)

Hmmmm, interesting ....

Everyone sitting down? Good ... here we go then.

I don't know that I'd go as far as saying that a HgAg GT looks "yuck", but I do concede that the GT and GT-P demand an outstanding colour.

My preference would be traditional, e.g., Red with Black stripes.

I do understand that everybody has their own colour preference and that colour does become quite emotive. I respect other's opinions ... it's just that I think you're all wrong. :innocent:

...

As for those of you who bag out HgAg just cause it's fun? :innocent:

Well my friend, firstly, welcome to the site and I hope you find many friends and much information here .... ;)

HgAg is from the periodic table Hg=Mercury, Ag=Silver ... this is one of the colours in the BA range, in fact, it is the BEST colour in the BA range. :innocent:

Now you're going to hear a lot of noise about HgAg, particularly from owners of non-HgAg cars. This is because they all realise that they made a very bad choice when purchasing their cars, by not choosing HgAg ... jealously is a very dark beast indeed. Ignore them, Team HgAg do!

... just a little tip, while I'm here ... underwear is optional while surfing this site ... try it, you'll like it!
