That really pisses me off! Im I correct in thinking, that maybe, just maybe there could be a school, tafe, uni, or trade school somwhere in Australia, that could use a car later than 1990 to train on?? I think the manafacturers could cut the vin number out and destroy the compliance tags, then donate them to help train students! I saw the pics of the PBR Corvettes too, and thought the same thing then!

Lots of mechanical Tafes have reasonbly late model cars to train on, there is also a accounting issue with donating the cars to a charity as opposed to destroying them and having them recorded as a total loss

then donate them to help train students!

Higher liability if an accident occurred than if they were sold to the general public springs to mind...

Can see the headlines now...

"Dodgy Vehicles Donated To Students 2 Dead"

"Ford Multi Million Dollar Lawsuit"

My father in law used to work for the CFA and they would get cars donated to them for rescue training.

They would bring in BRAND NEW cars and smash them up with a Excavator and let the guys at them with the Jaws of Life.

Real shame....
