Hey guys, I have 3 questions, which are all stupid/silly, but here I go anyway. I am a young fella, so don't give me too hard a time, pretty please!

1. The rego for my car runs out in 1 week, but I don't get paid until 2 weeks. If I don't drive my car for that 1 week the car isn't registered, is this ok? Or must I have this car constantly registered? (I'm fine without car, as I already use public transport to and from work everyday).

2. I lost my rego papers, do I just go to a 'shop front' and tell them this, and they will supply me with all the paper work to re-register my car?

And last,

3. On my rego sticker that I currently have on my car, it says my full name, does this mean that the car is in my name? Because I didn't transfer it into my name after buying it. Is that something the dealers do, or do I have to actually transfer it into my name? Reason why, is because I would imagine I first have to transfer it into my name to be able to re-register it. Or if its still not under my name, can I still get registration?

Cheers guys, and like I said, I know these are some silly questions, but any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I live in the ACT if it makes any difference.

If you brought from a dealer it's in your name, you should have 3 months to pay your rego.

Act should have a no. You can call and they'll send out the paperwork to re register it

Hope that helps
