Yeah my plan was always to keep this car, now even more so I think. Cheaper to keep it running than it is to buy a new one anyway, I figured! Even if mainstream 98 petrol dries up I doubt it'll be going anywhere. Just gotta keep the stone chip damage to a minimum...

Thanks fellas! I appreciate the kind words and comments like wingnuts and Dillz, that's what it's about for a lot of us I agree.

Oh and the list of go fast mods on the car used to make the power:

K&N filter (still not installed)

Nizpro intercooler and piping (needs powdercoating)

Intank Walbro GSS 294 fuel pump

42lb Bosch injectors

Manta 2x 2.5" Mild Steel turbo back exhaust

Custom XFT Tune!

Those blokes are bang on the money aren't they. To often modifying cars becomes a pissing competition and this thread is a sad reminder of what it should be about

Need some more of this!

Welcome to the 300 club.

Great result with your car Steve and sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad.

Perhaps a cruise should be organised?

Cheers guys! Mum flew in last night and we're off to see family today. Mum enjoys cars too (owned Mustangs in the US when she was young) so I have also been looking forward to sharing the car with her. She likes that I have a fast car (like she did) but she hates that it's so fast because I'm the one in it :)

I do believe a cruise or two was in the works anyway, it's about time too we're pretty slack over here lately :)

Great write up Steve, had a tear in my eye reading it.

I know how important having my dad apart of my car builds is and dread the day he's no longer by my side.

Well done mate, he is still riding shotgun with you.

Good writeup man. Really hits home when you think it could happen to any of us. Dunno what I'd do without my dad. He's built every car I've owned with me in the shed. Always there to offer advice etc.

Good luck with the future mods and enjoy the power!!
