Oh and I do want to get them painted a gloss black or dark grey at some point as they tend to blend into the tyre too much as is.  Possibly a silver/machined lip would do it to break it up a bit, but being 17's it might bring out the "smaller" size too much.  There's a nice deep groove around the edge of the rims that I could easily fill with something to mock up a lip so might give that a go at some point.

If anyone is interested, now part of my car has come third in the Targa city stage hahaha.  This is the guy I bought them from:

They have some cosmetic chips and really well stuck on stains in parts (caused by race spec brake pads maybe?) which is another reason I'd like to get them freshened up!

looking good Steve. I wish I took a photo of you as you rolled upto the meet point for cruise the other day cause the wheels looked fantastic as you were moving.

Thanks John, I didn't have the tyre black on yet anyway hahaha.  I should reapply it regularly because it does make quite a difference to the overall look, including using it on the black plastics (since it's really just silicone spray) makes them look awesome.

this stuff is the best!

Just need to let it dry before driving, or wipe the excess off your panels behind the wheels after the first drive if you didn't let it dry :spoton:

Yeah seems no matter what you buy it flicks off into the paint and makes nice dirt collection zones hahaha.  Drive at 100, pull over and wipe again after applying.

Peer pressure is a wonderful thing,

Also Steve, I photoshopped this pic so you could see how your wheels would look if you upgraded to 6 potters, painted the car, got coilovers, spline drive wheel nuts, trans cooler with vent panel, fpv skirts and bumper,a hoist, rechargeable rattle gun and chrome valve cap and valve stem lock nut, and WhatsApp Image 2016-11-09 at 6.27.51 PM.jpegtyre not fitted.

And small fly that landed on the rear wall
