Hey guys Im not much of a car enthusiast yet so I dont know much about cars, my hobby USE to be computers but ever since last year when I bought my first car a Ford XR6 BF 2006 I been slowly more into cars & learning all about them.

My car is a 4 speed non turbo & I want to know what kind of modifications can be done to it for more horsepower, I need some details on what can be done & if anyone knows some places in Syndey in the western suburbs where I can go to get them done or list some sites, but for the exhaust I decided I want the quad tip look.

I did change my stock 17" wheels to 20" last year but that was for cosmetic looks & I regret it due to the price of new tyres for this size & just overall the driving experience isnt as pleasant since you can pretty much feel every little bump on the road & theres no traction control anymore but the car feels more solid on the ground however I plan to get new wheels soon & Im looking at 18" size for the best driving experience.

I wanted to know when I put 18" wheels on I will probably want to lower the car, can I lower the car on the stock springs or do I need one ones?

Also does anybody know where I can get some angel lights put on, I looked around cant seem to find anything I want the nice FULL RING look not those cheap ones which dont make a complete circle?

Lastly I decided I want a new bodykit/spoiler for my XR6 & I already have a theme in my head how I want the car to look & to complete this theme I want to get stripes that run from front to back, does anybody know where I can get obtain this decal or should I instead paint them on obviously its going to cost more then a sticker but depending how much it is I would rather prefer to paint it on for a better look?

Thanks for all your help :)

Heres a little glimpse of how my little baby looks & Im currently on my green p's now :)

welcome mate!

1st off...no idea why people put P plates in such wierd places...

The black lights... I like on vixen red car :)

You can go the 18" rims, and get your car lowered with just kings SL (fronts) and SSL on rear and car will be fine and feel great. 18's is still great traction on the road!

start of with the 1st round of mods. K&N Air filter, pacemaker extractors, highflow 100cell CAT into a bigger cat back exuahst. Underdrive pulley also is great for NAs.

After those you can go a HEAD and CAM package from wherever you do mods and also get a chip and tune :)

And ill say what everyone wants to say....

Saying all this, your best turboing your car. Saying that, your better off selling your car and buying an xr6t.

Enjoy!

I seen people put their p plates where you can barely seen them at least you can see mine clearly :)

Obviously it would be better to sell it & get a XR6T however I just got my green p's this year so no turbo for me for at least another 2 years until I get full license.

Im on limited budget & I dont really want to spend thousands & thousands on my first car to gain power, besides a new exhaust system which I want for the looks & sound I just wanted to know a few little things I can do for extra power like the air filter you mentioned or maybe even squeeze in & get extractors too.

Do you have a rough price how much I can expect to pay for quad exhaust system, air filter & extractors? If price is acceptable then I might consider head & cam package & how much would those be anyways it sounds expensive?

Also I forgot to ask if anybody knows where I can buy a triple gauge pod?

sorry no idea on prices....ring around I guess :P

tripod costs like 200$. Better of putting that towards 2nd hand extractors! I know fordforums.com.au have alot of NA BAs who sell second hand parts. Your best bet is to check out their for sale section as this site is 95% based about the turbo falcons.

sp8rk3y, for mods to an NA, I suggest full exhaust or just cat back, air filter/intake, nice wheels, lowered, stereo maybe and that's it.

you have an awesome colour, and the xr kit so no need for body kits.

I wouldnt suggest head and cams on na's, waste of cash. being on your p's, get some confidence before you jump into a T, and you dont want too much attention from the boys in blue esp on your P's.

other from that have fun.

hey mate ive just got off my p's im in the process of going turbo so I could possibley help you with second hand extractors but it be little bit longer I still need to get few more bibs and bobs such as boost controller dump pipe and first half of the exhaust but if you want hp gains cheap get hole saw drill in front of your air box on the bottom half. so collects air behind the head light , get k&n air filter, get xr6 turbo exhaust which is twin two half inch get it suited to match your extractors or wateva and it be like 3in exhaust be worth getting maybe two hot dogs to give it better sound maybe or muffler. great bloke I know to help would be windsor exhaust if you get set of extractors make sure they put bracket in near the extractors if you dont. sometimes exhaust guys doesnt about 12 months later you get cracks and then turn into holes.

then maybe 20% lighter engine balancer. if any question give me buzz on 0404050707

Though about doing 4:11 diff gears? These have made the biggest difference to my brothers N/A, not to mention also having an LSD now.
