All comes down to diposable income ! As I was soft and went for Std brakes( didnt no about shudder at the point when I ordered) , upgrade to DBA slotteds and ferodo pads all round is no.1 on the list.

Then , taxmans generoucity permitting , I am considering stage 1 or 2 APS kit, coupled with appropriate exhaust ie 2.5 in straight through ?

Prefer stage 2 if coin permits as there are a couple of Skylines that keep picking on me on the way home from work ( can't let the Ricies win can we ?). Also need to consider secondary cold air intake etc etc , as I can get the beast quite warm on occasion.I am not a technokrat so please put me staight if I am going down the wrong path.

That said I have more than frightened a few SS's off the line ? are they just scared ? Should, on paper be able to keep up. BTW I have a SSS & find second a little to to tall for straight line stuff in IMO.

Any way love the car , cant wait another 3 years until I upgrade the lease.

Soooo go hard or go home.

Appreciate some feedback on bang for your buck mods

When I decided on options I just thought to myself things like.. "hrm, Premium sound is $900. That's only another 1200 bricks I have to lay" after a bit of that I then thought.. "hrm, XR6T, only about 80,000 bricks to lay to pay for it"... Luckily I have very minimal living expenses.

I find the Premium Sound is terrific for me. Even though I am only 22, but I am still a bit over the MEGA loud bass, the subie in the premium is fine.

Having said that, sat in a mates car the other day, dunno the specifics of the sound system, but I know the hardware alone cost him $4,000. Never heard anything so perfect sounding in my life.

Not really a fair comp with the $900 Premium System, but my point is, if you are a hardcore stereophile, the Premium may not cut the mustard.

[The lead break from "Comfortably Numb" at 25 (or so) is enough to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up  :pics:  and the cresendo from "The Great Gig in the Sky" brings a tear to my eye.  :tears:

... money well spent!

Listened to this yesterday for the first time in years - it is brilliant.

If you don't get it - you don't get it! Definitely for the soul.

I've been lurking on this forum for a while now (as I looked at buying a T) and noticed that some of you guys were finding it difficult to expand on the premium system. I found some options if you want to add to the premium system over at Performance Forums. Pretty cool but it ain't cheap

the Blaupunkt TV/NAV/ DVD cable is now available

Cable itself is $150.

for a few ideas and rough costs:

fully installed Prices

dvd option with ability for extra screens $1699

navigation with CURRENT nationwide software $3000.

like both options $4400 and they're yours.

*nods* Chris Rodgers (Sound Off Car Audio) is doing that deal.

Or you can hook 13 wires into the the ICC and DIY. It's a VGA input onto the Premium screen and a stereo input at the 'normal' AUX connector for audio.

With luck in a few weeks I'll have some demo pics up of the DIY effort. I'm just seeing if I can source 'proper' plugs for it instead of having to manually insert pins into connectors..

I'll be updating a thread about it shortly (few days to a week) including basic pics of where and what ;)
