wish I had never made that statement ! its been fuct since ! wife thought it was working and as I dont srive it that much I sayed ok... drove it tonight in pissing rain and had a sauna inside the car and rain was so hard I had to endure the steamy windows... so, 1000klms on the brand new car and HIM appears to be the issue... did any you guys get it done while you wait ? SMALL JOB ? pre booked to be ready in stock ??

Think the recall code was R1005. HMI module. Got mine done, all sweet now. If you own an FG and havent moved or bought it second hand, you shouldve got a recall letter from Ford.

This is what I did, Ford confirmed that R1005 is the recall number, so I'm sure that if you quote this you should be right!

My F6 did it the day I picked it up (May 2010).. and got home :(

They bled the air con system and it seemed to fix the problem until a few weeks ago, its there again - Air Con not working, it was working fine for the 1st hour of a 2 hour trip, then started to get warmer and warmer. My air con pipe from condenser to firewall gets COVERED in ice, not just a bit - FULLY FROSTED UP

Thanks guys, I will quote the above and get it sorted..

They didnt mention ANY recall or HIM problems

Ive just noticed last week that when use the climate control I get a clicking noise for about 1 minute from behind the dash somewhere it then stops , would this be related to the HIM module ? . Its an oct 09 build XRT .

My 2009 XR6T packed it in 2 days ago. Only the drivers side of the car was blowing air at the set temperature - hot or cold. The passenger side just blew what ever the ambient temp air was...

Ford fixed it under warranty and all is well - hopefully for a while!

I bought a xr50t ute and the aircon didnt work by the time I got it home,

I took it back and they changed some O ring on the compressor and it worked again, for about 3 hrs and then it just blew hot air.

Ive taken it back again on tuesday and they still havent fixed it,they rang today and said it wont be ready till next tuesday cause they are waiting for a part to come in and they asked if I could leave it there cause they have taken the dash out.

Not happy!

should I hit them up for some freebies?
