I used to get BP, but since they made baby Jeasus cry by dumping 5,000,000 barrels of oil in the Gulf, I have been using Shell.

I could not tell the difference as my car is stock and both make it go hard :verysad:

I got extra 11rwkw from BP 98 to 100 united. So figures speak for themselves. I use to get tiny bit of ping apparently too from the 98! Now no ping at all and more power.

im gathering ill get na even huger increase when I move to full e85 :)

No point putting 100 octane in your car unless you tune car to it though. its like stock cars running 98 who normally take 91. 'OH FEEL THE EXTRA POWER'...its all in their head. Might clean the motor but that's about it.

I usually use United 98, but sometimes get Caltex 98. Both seem fine but this week I got a tank of Caltex and the car is pinging slightly. Had to tip some booster in to stop it. Gimme E85 already.

Aren't your knock sensors turned on or your tuner hasn't put the ability to retard enough timing? Can understand my BA knocking here and there but your FG!

I'm an ex Maitland boy if you didn't know! (I dont tell to many people though...lol)

100RON is generally useless unless it's tuned on it

Yeah ive heard that too, but any little extra insurance against ping is a good thing. Might try it out and get a tune to suit.
