Hey guys,

Before I tell you what's going on I will tell you my mods.

Rapid V2.0 cooler setup.

60lb Deka's

Walbro Fuel pump

XForce 3.5in system

Valve springs (Newly fitted)

I am running on a soft tune 362rwkw at the moment.

However,

I recently got the car back after the valve springs, the car drove like a... Monster.

But now (2 weeks later) is a bit inconsistant. The car pulls hard off the line and at about 4000rpm in 2nd & 3rd (Havent's pushed 4th yet) it feels like I lose all boost and the car goes N/A. It then picks up at 5000rpm and pulls like a freight train and then I change gears (6spd auto).

When the car does hook up properly it pulls fuken hard but the car feels like it intermitantly pulls on and off very quickly. Any ideas?

Car is a mk1 06 XRT

sounds like it needs a touch up in the tune, if it didnt pick up at 5000 rpm I would of said the wastegate needs porting but it doesnt sound like that probably best if you let your tuner have a look at it. you could try reflashing your current tune and see if it goes away if it does and comes back it most likely is the tune.

If its hesitation, could be something to do with fuel or spark??

You could be experiencing some fuel surge... Sedans suffer fuel surge a fair bit when boosted and flogged!

I would take it back to the tuner for some diagnostics.

thanks fellas,

I dont have the flash box. The tune is Snipered in. But what I should of mentioned is that it is a street tune only as his dyno is in bits at the moment. Either way the wastegate and actuator is booked in because I f*cked my exhaust housing, exhaust had a leak for too long and the gases wore it away a bit. So in 3 weeks its going for machining (exhaust housing) and while the turbo is off. WHY NOT :) Perhaps that could be it? street tune with no dyno... Good thing he is an experienced ford tuner

Agreed Straughs!

Maybe a trip to the closest site sponsor workshop is in order for diagnostics...!

Have been taking it nice and easy just incase. The guy has been specialising in ford tuning since day dot. He has dealt with hundreds of fords since ive known hin. But just to be safe will take it easy. Dyno should be up and going in 2 weeks. He been moving warehouses
