Anyone else's do the same ?044's have a habbit of getting noisy when they are hot, and when they start to get old, or having flow issues... if its a few years old I'd look at cleaning or replacing the check valve as they can get sticky inside. A few tweaks and a wee bit more timing and its all soughted. Cost me to upgrade to Xcal3 plus the tune, but alot happier now that I know its right. The tuner box rebate is a bit of help too,for those wanting a tune adjustment soon. Not sure how much longer the offer is available for. To be honest its pretty quiet being double insulated so cant really here it too much. Just a slight whizzing sound lol. I fitted it for the same reason as you did as if it gets to half or less,it would starve for fuel. Yeah,Im taking it in tommorrow to get it tuned etc and unfortunately will most likely have to upgrade my tuner box(more expense). Ive taken it to the same place you go for the past 3 years,it was good that they could fit me in with short notice.. Thanks Rapid,it does seem to pull harder so was worried that the bosch was supplying less, causing a slightly leaner mixture. Will see how we go tommorrow and let people know incase they fit one and dont expect or budget,to get a retune.Mine is in front of the firewall, on the passenger side chassis rail (if you can call it that). Not sure if I'm just calling it a different spot to you.Its reasonably quite. The intak was noisy at start and now I have two noises. With the radio of at idle you can definately hear the low buzz but turn up a bit of Slash or Acca Dacca and what surge tank???I could see my engine leaning out big time and my first 2 runs at Calder saw me run out of fuel half way down and I had to put $40 of 98 in. that's an extra 40 kilos (approx) that slows me down.So I see it as a but if unsurance. I looked at some on ebay which look really well made and one had all the relays, but sh!t it was nice to not worry about doing it myself. I know you get pleasure out of it, but sometimes its just not worth the drama.Knowing me Id have blown myself up anyway.
