Hi

A mate of mine has an auto 2003 BA XR6 Turbo and wants to turn off the traction control permanently

Is there a way to do this? so you don't have to push the button every time you drive?

Cheers

Phil

Unless you want to recalibrate your computer, I would just press the button mate.

I dont think there is a fuse option for it.

You may be able to re-wire the switch as soon as you turn on the car, the switch will just be constantly pressed meaning it would turn off the traction control.. :stirthepot:

I think it turns it off, honestly why bother turning it off permanently? I know the BA traction control isnt the best but it shouldnt matter if your driving the car normally, unless your mate constantly drives like an idiot.

hmm I can understand that if it works the same way the TC works on the VT based commodores. It was horrible. DSC is much better.

OK, you should get that looked at... ?

I drive a Subaru legacy GT 2005 4wd ( so I don't get the option of turning off traction control) I use to have a 2001 750il V12 BMW with DSC that was great... with it off

But I do not own a XR6 Turbo, would love to I've been in his, it's impressive... I'm asking about this for him as he doesn't get on the computer much, so though I could help him out

So any info on disabling it would be great cheers

Phil
